From Maxine Schreiber on the West Palm Beach Fine Arts Examiner:
Those who attended the opening reception on February 16th were treated to an informal lecture by the brilliant young artist. For those who missed the opening, on Wednesday, April 6, Selikoff will give two visiting artist lectures titled, “The Confluence of Chaos and Computation in Generative Visual Art.”
The first lecture takes place in Room NS 129 in the Natural Science building on the Lake Worth campus, 4200 Congress Ave. The second lecture begins at 6 p.m. in Room SC127 in the Bioscience Technology Complex on the Palm Beach Gardens campus. Nathan will speak about the recent history of computers, mathematics and generative visual art, and its influence on his work, describing the inspiration for the pieces and answering questions about the art. The lectures are free and open to the public.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays. For more information about the exhibit, visit www.palmbeachstate.edu/artgallerypbg.xml or call Karla Walter, art gallery specialist, at 561-207-5015.
