A self portrait, probably completed in 2004, was paired with two box kite models made of prints from my Faces of Chaos series. This piece accompanied two larger box kites at my first solo exhibition, Process & Influence, and served as a conceptual link between my creative and technical processes and the resulting artifacts.

Look what came in the mail last week! That’s my artwork on the cover (Faces of Chaos series) and inside is a book review I wrote on Symmetry in Chaos (2nd Edition) by Michael Field and Martin Golubitsky. This is the first time I have been published in a journal. I would like to thank Gary Greenfield, the very helpful and supportive editor, for the opportunity.

Bridges Pécs 2010 a Success; Thank You United Arts!

Amy and I got back a few weeks ago from a two week adventure in Hungary and Austria, the first week of which was spent at a math / art conference called Bridges Pécs 2010 in Pécs, Hungary. The conference is always a blast, bringing together a few hundred brilliant people from diverse geographic and intellectual areas.
